Janet Farrar and Gavin Bone

Janet Farrar and Gavin Bone are practising Wiccans (modern witches) and authors who publish books on the subjects of Paganism, Magick and Witchcraft. They were interviewed in the January 2008 edition of The Magickal Light.

From 1971 Janet published a number of important books with her husband, Stewart Farrar, before his death on the 7th February 2000. Both were widely recognised as experts on Witchcraft and the Occult - their most famous work being A Witches’ Bible Complete, which has become a standard text on the Craft.

In the 90s, Gavin worked with them on The Pagan Path: A study of Paganism Worldwide, The Healing Craft: A Healer’s Workbook for Pagans and The Complete Dictionary of European Gods and Goddesses. More recently, both he and Janet have written Progressive Witchcraft. Between them they have had eleven books published in the United States, Britain, Brazil, Japan and the Czech Republic.

They are active members in The Aquarian Tabernacle Church, Ireland, and have links with several covens in the United States, Australia, New Zealand and Europe. They run a progressive coven in Ireland called Coven Na Callaighe, part of Teampall Na Callaighe, which includes an open worship group.

Their current practical work is in the areas of Spiritism and Trance Prophesy. They regularly conduct practical workshops in these fields for the Pagan Community. Janet is also a professional Tarot Reader and Gavin, an Empathic Spiritual Healer.

They are also currently exploring video as a training medium and have recently released a collection of Celtic stories told by Janet.
