The one topic I can't seem to find is on how to become a board moderator.
Please let me know what I need to do to become a mod or if that is even a possibility. I am new so I am guessing it does not happen right away.
Qualifications:
I have been a mod before. Not on a forum as large as Magicka. I loved it!!
I also have to admit, rather embarrassingly, that I have the time.
As I mentioned, I am new, so as far as most of the topics here at Magicka I am not an authority, but I am a history buff and I love learning.
Organization is also something I love and this forum at times can drive me crazy. Old information/broken links/ etc (I am quite obviously OCD when it comes to organization. LOL)
I offer my services if they are needed or wanted. There are many topics that need to be cleaned up and/or rearranged and I do not wish to be a complainer. I would rather be proactive and just help out.

Thankyou for your kind offer of help. However, at the moment I am afraid to say we have no openings. When there is an opening it is discussed between Mods and Admin, and if there is no-one we already have in mind we may roll it out to the main forums. However, there are many things taken into consideration when choosing, and the length of time and how well we know a member is a huge factor. As you have said, you are new, I would take the time to get used to the forum, and get to meet the other members, take part.  However, if you would be so kind as to point out the broken links/outdated information for us, I can always see what we can do about that... Many Thanks Melba _________________

Thanks for posting this Melba, I think it is important for the newer members to know who is who on MAGICKA! Also if you are new, if you will look under a person's avatar, it has stars to show you what position a member holds based on the star colors! Also besides the stars below their names you will notice that the Administrators, Moderators, and Mentors user names are in color whereas everyone else's is generally white. I think that helps a lot too!

The forum is set up in such a way that new topics automatically come to the top. We do on a regular basis clean boards of old topics, and remove broken links, as far as organization, we will move topics to boards that are more fitting to the subject. As you have noticed this forum is massive and we cant catch everything. There are icons in each post, you may click on the appropriate icon to report any post you find with a broken link. (rt. corner) just report post with title "missing link", any member can report posts.
At the moment we are happy with our team, and I appreciate your interest, however we will announce when we have an opening. As I mentioned, I would rather be proactive than complain, but I will make use of the report button. I was honestly just trying to be helpful.
