I began drawing a nightly card last week. (I prefer this time, as I am more aware at night...) My aim was to take a card each night and study its every detail & meaning.
For three nights running, I drew the Death card. At the time, I was quite surprised at the odds of that happening but not at all concerned that it may hold 'literal' significance. Then my daughter called to say that her partner had to fly out to Spain & could we get him to the airport because his Mother (who was on holiday there) had collapsed & had slipped into a coma. (I do not want to go into details, as it's been a difficult time for everyone this week) but...she passed away...
I don't want to share this with my family - but I need to share it with someone, as it has been playing on my mind. I haven't drawn one since. I will, but I just need to get this off of my mind before I pick them up again...
Thanks for listening...

Sorry to hear the sad news. I have to agree with Melba, though, that the cards were definitely trying to prepare you for what was ahead.

Sorry for your loss Hun, I would agree that the cards were telling you there would be a loss, and things will change because of it.

I feel I must comment here! Normally the Death card I would translate as New Beginnigs and Transformation. In a multi-card spread there would need to be other cards such as the three or four of swords with it. With a one card spread this is not possible. The Death card is much feared by many not familiar with the Tarot and mis-conceived to be brings premonition of death for the queerant. In this case it may well have been trying to prepare you as others have said however I would not like you to fear the death card now.
When I am prepared for a death I usually see images of the crucifix. Others dreaam of teeth. There other ways to prepare you once you are open.
As a Major Acarna card it also may well mean major life changes. So please don't rule out the fact that these may be in store for you now. It may mean a new job, relationship, house, transformation of old ideas and generally looking at things in your own life completely differently.
Sorry to hear of your loss. Silver
