The Tarot's my favourite. I used to work with the runes a lot but sort of got out of the habit.

All forms of divination fascinate me ~ I'd like to learn how to cast runes and to read tarot well, I love working with crystals in various forms, spheres for meditation visions and I love to scry with pendulums, mirrors, water, fire and smoke.

Merry Meet,
Oh man! I want to learn them all! Some day, I'll make my own rune stones, buy a crystal ball, master reading the Tarot, know palmistry, interpret images in tea leaves, and all sorts of stuff! I'm just practicing Tarot for now though.

Wow, Bell - you're very ambitious. I was much the same but eventually stuck with the Tarot as I find there's always something else to learn about it. It's fascinating and I never tire of it.

I am interested in all kinds of divination, but the ones I really use are my pendulum, runes and tarot. The one I use most is my pendulum, which I made myself. It does make a difference, if you make your own tools. I also love runes and just recently made my own set. I currently own five tarot decks, three sets of runes and one pendulum. I also have two spheres for meditation and energy healing. Almost forgot.... I made a scrying mirror, too, which hasn't been used very often. I do have my faves...
Blessings, NC

I think they are...pushed to the backburner...because of the 'popularity' of widely-used techniques/modalities such as Tarot, pendulums and runes. I have been using them for quite a while with amazing results. They are also a good 'second opinion' to the more popular methods. Just my two-cents. You just amaze me Torey Who would have ever thunk? I had never even heard of L-Rods until this post and went checking them out --- There are still a few old timers in these parts that are great dowsers - I just never equated it to divination until now Thank you for the insight!

I used to think that Tarot was the only way for me but after looking back on my life and everything I'm interested in, I may pick up on runes, scrying and pendelum as well.

In the Native way, seers never call themselves 'Seers',,,,the tribes JUST KNOW who the seers are and aren't (something I have had a hard time questioning because of this),,,,but I have discovered over time that I am drawn to divination in many forms and have spent years trying to 'control' visions and have found that the most profound revelations have come upon their own accord and in the form that best suits that particular intersection ---
For instance if I set devoted time to scrying with my pendulum, I can go days without answers, and then there will be a day I will pick up a pendulum and it will go nuts, or when I look into a flame images just start flowing like a picture screen turned on,,,,
But I'm still diligently trying to learn how and when to control my abilities and am discovering that its wise never to discount any of the methods employed and that some people work with certain items better than others and certain items work better at certain times than others,,,,
Now that I've thoroughly confused everyone,,,,I will still stick to saying ALL forms of divination draw my interest and fascinate me

I'm fascinated by all forms of divination. I would not say that I'm a seer or that I have any particular talent for the divinatory arts in general, but I do know that I have something of a keen eye for fire. I am able to scry into fire with speed and accuracy, even scrying into photographs of fires. I would like to hone this talent and become proficient in it and other forms of scrying, such as scrying into water, steam, glass, crystal balls and with pendulums.
I'm also highly interested in cleromancy / bonecasting and runes, and I plan on eventually creating my own bone rune set out of fox bones. I don't have much of a talent for bonecasting or any other forms of divination which require things to be tossed or dropped, but I'm keen to learn and I heard that the Eldar Futhark is as fascinating as it is powerful, especially when blooded.
As well as these, the divinatory form that I'm most keen to learn here on Magicka School (likely because it's the one which is the most available to me) is the Tarot. I own the Thoth deck myself, but I've never used it more than opening it up to play with the cards inside and admire the artwork. I would like to progress to the stage where I can begin to draw a daily card for myself and interpret the day ahead of me, as well as using the cards to meditate on messages and learning from them by intuitively touching and sensing them.

The best advice I can give you .....is to just do it! Keep a little diary for what card you pull for the day so you can see how the cards relate. Using the cards to meditate is a good idea too. I've often thought I'd like to scry by fire, I find it's very calming just sitting in front of the fire and letting my mind drift.......... Briganta

I made a set of L-rods for myself. I haven't used them much tho. One day I'll pick them up again and really work on them.

Wow, just reading these posts has made me want to try so many different things. I bounce around and use many things, but the ones that have stuck the best are shadows (I see so many things in them and they always seem to get my attention), bird watching (to see which way they might fly), runes, tarot, pendulums, spilled water (a new hobby), and dreams of course. Tea leaves, palmstry, cloud reading, and smoke reading are things I'm making an effort to get back into (sometimes you just need a break, ya know?) And of course I've got to try the rest of the awesome ways listed by previous posters. Time to find my sisters cat for some catomancy *here kitty, kitty, kitty*

I mostly like to use the pendulim for questions I have no answers for. I have 3 pendulims. I have a pendulum that a freind sent me quite awhile ago. And it is very nice and use it . It is true for me and to me. I have done some Tarot reading mainly for myself. I find it very interesting. Sometimes I will do a daily read or to see what is ahead of me for the future. I also like gems. Usually I carry the Lapis Lazuli. I truly believe in the power of gemstones.
