I got a ouiji board for last christmas from my mother and I've only used it once or twice by myself with no results(im sure its because its most effective to be used with multiple people) but its in the room where I would like to do my rituals and that bothers me for the fact that idk if entities can still come through it even tho I'm not using it and if they can I don't want them to mess with my rituals while I'm doing them cause they would both be in the same room. So my question is, is there anyway i can close this "portal" (not sure if that's a proper term)or protect my home and occult practices from unwanted guests? A;ny suggestions are appreciated; I've even contemplated burying the board right off my property from time to time when i think about this lol  thank you all for any insight

First things first, destroy the board. I may not be the best person to talk to about this, but I don't like Oujia boards and have had very bad experiences with them. Next, cleanse and protect the space. That should be okay if you haven't had anything happen since you used the ouija board. If you had you may have to do extra work. May I ask if you have had any "out of the ordinary" experiences since the board was used?

If your rituals are being done in a properly consecrated circle then you should have sufficient protection.
However, if you're not comfortable with the Ouija board, as LindsayRebel suggested then bury it or burn it and cleanse the room afterwards. You said you did not have any results when using the board so I would think that more than likely nothing negative is hanging around.

this is very good news i think ill bury it right off my property where i can remember it in case i decide i wanna use it and no i have not had any negative experiences with the board so far but can it still be used as a portal by other entities even tho im not using it?

I think that in most instances, it cannot be used as a portal unless you are actively using it. Portals do exist and can sometimes stay open, though, but I doubt it would - not from just a few uses.

Personally I don't understand the huge fear or hesitation about the Ouija Boards. It is truly out of Ignorance that people scream, run the other way and believe things about them that are simply not true. Now if you did believe these things of course they will come true and of course that is the experience you will have but the Ouija is not a portal opened 24/7. The Ouija is a tool just like the Tarot, pendulum, a psychic, a kitchen knife etc... The Tool has to be activated for it to work. If it makes you feel weird or uncomfortable throw it out, give it away... Theres no need to bury it or burn it or anything like that lol just toss it. Say goodbye and be done. I own a Ouija and I have it in plain view in my room at all times, i sleep and its there, I also have Ray Bucklands spirit board up on my wall for me to tap into when I do spirit work. I personally do not believe that the Ouija opens "Portals" as that is quite a strong word and would take quite a lot of energy to open something like that up. I think that we do attract what we perceive and focus on and therefore the Ouija has got a bad rep because of people creating it to be something that it is not.

I can share with you an experience I've had with a board and ways or means of how approaching the matter with negative energy.
In my youth - this going way back to when I was sixteenish- I experienced using a board that wasn't cleansed and the other person using it's intent was not good. It opened up my hearing gift only I wasn't aware of it at the time. So this hearing gift overtook my control.....basically. I managed to get back the control got back but it took a lot of strength and determination to do so. So my advice to you would be to either get a labradorite crystal which will instantly set up shields once cleansed.....or call in the angels AA Michael for one and explain your situation and ask for protection.
I would first recommend to do what the previous poster before me has suggested and destroy the board and what you used on the board with. If needs be find a person who is able to send reiki (I could probably send your home some kundalini reiki if you would like - these are positive energies healing energies) to maintain some positivity inside your home.
As for the oujia board itself, I believe its a tool that can be used for good if it has been cleansed and with the right intent. However, after the experience in my past, I probably wouldn't use that tool essentially, but each to their own eh????

I have a ouija board in my room, its like decoration. Just throw it away if
it bothers you, but i agree with Michael, they are just plastic,wood, and i think nice to look at. Mine is actually a Nostradamus future board.
Its beautiful. Ive never felt afraid of it, but i don't get spooked easily.

I think that opinions on Oujia boards will vary. It all depends on who you ask. Like I said in my previous post, I'm not the best person to ask because I've had such bad experiences with them. I've had a thought. Although these are tools, like all other tools, they must be cleansed, blessed, and protected. Since they are made by a game company, we have no idea who made them, or what energy they came into contact with before they come to us. I would like to have a spirit board, made by someone I trust. I would then thoroughly cleanse, bless, and protect it before using it. A friend has one that she had made, and around the outside edge are runes for protection. A good idea, I think.

I've never thought of that, Tallwoman. You bring up a good point. For all we know the person who made these boards could have been having a bad day and put negativity into the board. Its kind of like cooking. If you make it with love it always tastes better than if you cook while you're upset and put icky energy into the food. Excellent point!
