hi all, i am relativley new to wicca and am in the process of getting my altar setup. i have a place in mind that is out of the way of my chldren. but i am havving an issue with the items to be on my altar. from what i've read so far from multiple sources i should have a pentacle set up on my altar ,whether to represent earth or for consecration prposes. but i do not feel particulally drawsn to it. i do however feel more connected to the triquetra. and i was wondering if it was ok to substitue some thing else for the earth representation. and have the triquetra in the center of my altar. any help is greatly appreciated.

You could use any number of things to represent earth on your altar. Some have a dish with salt in it, some use crystals, you could use leaves, flower, rocks, etc. Anything that comes from the earth would work. You could even use some dirt. How about a small potted plant? See where this is going?

If you see any item and when you look at it you feel connected to the earth or you mind thinks earth then that is all you need.
