I'm really loving watching stand up at the moment, so I thought I'd see if anyone else is in to it! I know comedy is subjective, but it's always interesting to see what other people like Eddie Izzard is an all time fave of mine, and I was lucky enough to see him live a few years ago. I also love Russell Howard, who I doubt is much known outside of the UK.

I love Russell Howard I went to see him on his last tour and he was hilarious! I have a silly sense of humour, and like stupid things, and some of the stuff he comes out with doubles me over. I'm really enjoying any comedy at the moment, stand up, tv and films. If I feel down I stick something funny on and I always feel better. My fiance has bought me tickets to see Lee Evans for my birthday, can't wait BB

Nothing beats a good comedy! With the world so full of doom and gloom we need more laughter. I love the show "The Big Bang Therory" I just got sirius radio and I love the Blue Collar comedy channel.

Standup Love comedians from the British Isles, they have a self depreciating humour that appeals. Rowan Atkinson, Monty Python, Benny Hill (blushes). Decades long Billy Connelly fan here. Got to see him live for the first time this year. Twas unbelievable. Aussies Adam Hills, Carl Baron, Tripod and the Umbilical Brothers. American comedians tend to be a little to loud for my liking, yet I love and adore Robin Williams who is about the loudest of the lot . TV Big Bang Theory cracks me up. Good News Week - Aussie show almost impossible to categorise *snicker* Vicar of Dibley As Time Goes by If it's British comedy, I will give it a shot. Aussie comedy I will watch if it doesn't include Shane Bourne. American comedies I will give a chance if they are not too in your face. English, Aussie and American are about our only choices on Aussie TV.

MM all, reading the posts got me to thinking of comics that just send me rolling on the floor. I love Benny Hill, I have his whole CD collection. And the whole Fawlty Towers collection also. John Cleese is also great in movies. "A Fish Called Wanda, Fierce Creatures". I've only seen Eddie Izzard on TV a few times and he's very funny. Another guy I think is hilarious is from Italy. More of a comedic actor. Roberto Bengini.
As far as American funny men, there are many but I think none campare to Laurel (I know, isn't he from England) And Hardy. There are 2 stand-up comics that you don't hear much about anymore that are really funny. Rocky LaPorte and Arnaz J. Blessed Be JD

Damonde Tschritter is one of my all time favourite stand up comedians.
I used to adore Mitch Hedburg, but he's dead now.
Rita Rudner is my favourite female stand up.

That guy really puts on a show! I've only seen his stuff on TV, but he certainly seems to work very hard

don't like comedy much, but amongst my favourites are Rowan Atkinson, Jerry Lewis, Louis de Funes, and some spaniards, like Eva Hace. and of course, Charles Chaplin.

The blue collar guys are my faves, but I love Ellen and Will Ferell. Conan O'brien is funny too.
