Does anyone know of a good publisher program that doesn't cost to much? I am on a very tight budget. I would like to get something though because I am trying to get all my notes and files together to start my BOS. I found a program on the internet called "Libre Office 3.3" that was a free download. It is just like the Microsoft Office products. Last year my other laptop went bonkers and I had to get another one. The new one is making me purchase the Microsoft Office program which is very expensive. Anyways, enough rambling. Any suggestions would be much appreciated. Thank you. Blessed Be and have a wonderful day!

Hi diana lynn There is a software package called OpenOffice that you can download for free. It is almost identical to Microsoft Office. My grand-daughter needed it for some school projects and it worked great for her. Here is a link to the site in case you want to give it a try. http://www.openoffice.org/Once you get to the site just click on "I want to download OpenOffice.org" and follow their instructions. JamesR, just wanted to let you know I downloaded the program. It's just like LibreOffice 3.3 that I have. It has a publisher (drawing) program with it which will help. I like all those little pics that come with the publisher program. I may just have to break down and buy one.

As a publishing student I use Adobe Indesign which is expensive!
For a "publishing and layout" program that's free you could try a free program called Scribus.
For word processing the free choices are openoffice, libreoffice, kingsoft free version or abiword. Libreoffice is my pick out of these.
