Yes. I dont have them covered anymore as of today....just mist them with water a little. Excited, can't wait for them to go in a real pot and start growing more! Chamomile and oregano are next on the list to get started after the Basil is big and healthy

That sounds great!
Chamomile is so fun to have in the garden. Those tiny little feathery leaves poke up and there's just no doubt what it is. lol I've got it scattered all over the place in the front yard right now. So dainty and pretty!

I'm happy to report that the sweet lemons are finally sprouting. I know this is the February project, but in February I found out that you need to refrigerate the seeds for a month, soak them and then plant them. I did all that and now it's mid-april and 6 of the 16 seeds are finally sprouting. I have some back up seeds in the fridge, I'm going to wait a couple days before I put those into the 10 pots that nothing is happening in.

Okay, I'm thoroughly proud to report that I now have 15 baby sweet lemon plants!!! At least I hope they will be sweet lemons. I was reading somewhere that the 'sex' life of citrus plants is quite questionable and that seeds in one citrus fruit may produce different kinds of citrus that are nearby which the bees pollinated from. I hope at least a few of them are sweet lemon!!! But I guess whatever they are is okay! I have regular lemons, limes, grapefruits, blood oranges, sour oranges, valencia and navel oranges on the property.

This is really great. But yeah, they may or may not be sweet lemon when they start to produce, but you have the next 3 - 5 years to be proud of what you have accomplished on your own! If you got these seeds from the market, chances are they came from a sweet lemon farm and the chances of the cross pollination are still there, but a tad slimmer than if you had grown them yourself with a sour lemon sitting right next to it. This is one of the reasons that when I planted two different varieties of basil, I planted them well away from each other. Still came out with some interesting varieties out of it all. You never know, maybe you'll have a sweet & sour lemon tree! Wouldn't that be something?

I'm pretty sure they won't be sour lemons because those are on the other side of my house. But I do have alot of other citrus trees in that 'orchard' section.
