I skimmed Drawing Down the Moon by Margot Adler, but I read an excellent book not too long ago called The Fifth Sacred Thing (I'm not sure on the author, but my old coven listed it as 'suggested reading') It was fiction, wiccan, and well written.

I am almost finished with
"The Idiots Guide to Witchcraft"
Ok, don't laugh! It is the book that actually brought my back to The Path.
The last time I had a library of Occult books (about 18 or so books), they were discovered and destroyed by my parents. twenty or so years ago.
Oh, btw, I recommend that book to anyone seeking knowledge about Wicca. It is a simple "meat and potatos" type book with easy words that even I could understand!
Good read for a green noobie!
Warmest Love,
Daniel

I am currently reading three books and using one for reference as I always return to it often.
I am reading:
1) Complete Idiot's Guide to Spells and Spellcraft--A great book for those who know little or nothing about spells and spellcasting from beginning to end. It focuses on positive magick in the spells it provides to the reader. The words are not complicated but it includes needed terminology, just as FerociousGnat has said about The Idiot's Guide to Witchcraft.
2) The Voice of The Master by Kahil Gibran, who also wrote The Prophet. This is a book a great book that opens the eyes of our souls to ourselves to those of others and to the World's. Very moving.
3) Wicca: A Guide for The Solitary Practitioner by Scott Cunningham. Reattuning myself to the Goddess and God.
For reference, I am always refering to Cunningham's Encyclopedia of Crystal, Gem and Metal Magic. At the New Moon, I'll begin A Witch Alone by Marian Green.
Blessed Be!
