T.Q.; Again, I agree. The universe is too complex to be created by a single source. I do not think it is necessary to understand how it started; it is more important to know how to live within it. Even if we knew exactly how the universe and life started, so what? It would have no effect on our daily lives. So why waste time and energy thinking about it?
My quest is to understand enough about the process of life to allow me to live the physical life according to the laws of nature and to prepare my spiritual aspect to continue into the next realm, whatever that may be. We can only live in one world at a time but to gain the full benefit of this existence, it is helpful to have some understanding of what lies beyond.
Gods are most likely the creation of humans rather than the opposite perspective.
