Still refraining from MOST meats, just a smidge of turkey here or there etc....
Having trouble with the hip bursitis and my hip is swelling again a bit :( BUT im gonna try to find something on the Wii fit or something to help out!!!
Best wishes to everyone on their paths to losing weight!!!

*i have found chilled apples (i slice them so its easier to eat,lol...) REALLY help for energy or if you are just hungry and need a quick snack :miss purple:

ruby rowan ur tip about apples is really good. theyre gots lots of fibre and natural sugars so theyre a good source of energy AND help you feel full. much better snack than my usual crisps or chocolate lol

so as for weight loss, i will tell you (a less extreme version) what my brother did to lose the weight before entering the army. he followed a couple of rules -

1) in the morning when you wake up, make sure to eat something to kick start your metabolism.

2) make sure to eat lots of little meals. if you eat small amounts regularly your body will burn it off, if you are going long periods of time before eating your body thinks "hmm had to wait ages for this lets store it just in case we have to wait again". so yeah eating is the best way to lose weight lol

3) keep hydrated. drinks lots of water!

breakfast-bowl of cereal or toast (brown/wholemeal no butter) . and either a peice of fruit or low fat yoghurt

snack -one of the following; handful of nuts, raisins, apple

lunch- fish/meat/protien source, some steamed veg (veggies are great cos most veg take up more energy to break down than they actually provide. win win!) small portion of a carb source, so pasta rice boiled potatoes that sort of thing.

snack- either some fruit or some carrot sticks/celery

supper/dinner - bowl of soup and a roll

evening snack (optional) tea and biscuits

as for drinks, plenty of wate. no pop. as much tea and coffee as you want. as long as its black without sugar lol
aswell as following them eating rules he did about 3 hours of exercise a day. he managed to lose a 18lbs in 3 weeks. like i said a bit extreme but it was something he HAD to do.

so yeah my version is a couple of hours a week yoga or maybe a gentle 30 minute stroll in the evenings lol

hope this helps people. i wouldnt worry about following it too strictly because in my opinion eating is a pleasure and not something that should be too controlled. as long as you just spread it out across the day and keep unhealthy snacks to a minimum its all good ^-^

alrighty, usually my morning coffee ( i can have 1 to 3 cups on average) includes like 2 tsps of sugar each, along with milk and fat free hazelnut creamer :bug eyes: BUT last night i bought some truvia to try, no calories, no fat and all natural. it is not quite the same, so we'll see how this goes,lol... i can tell the difference, but its much better than splenda i think at least! and the amount used is much smaller too!

YAY For switching from Splenda! It gets this great rap but recently I found out it wasn't so great lol. Its made by chlorinating sugar, changing its molecular structure thus resulting in sucralose. FDA (oye) says that sucralose is 98 percent pure and the other 2 percent contains small amounts of heavy metals, methanol, and arsenic. Sucralose has been found to cause diarrhea, organ, genetic, immune system, and reproductive damage; and swelling of the liver and kidneys.

Michael what about stevia? I know FDA has been holding back on approving it but I thought I saw a comercial not too long ago that was a combo of sugar and stevia. Hasn't stevia been a natural sweeting herb for like a really long time?
Much love and thoughts, Silver Firelite
