I just started this course a little bit ago, and I am full of questions and curiosities. You'll likely see alot more of me as time goes along.

So my questions for today are:
What would the best gemstones be to make wand magick more effective/powerful?
And:
Can I put more than one gemstone in my wand, as to cover a more widespread range of spells/rituals?
Also:
Would saying certain words when not necessarily needed help to invoke the magick in me, as to bring better results, maybe faster? If so, what language would bring the best results? Latin, Theban, etc?

I have an extreme attraction to wand magick, and I want to start out with just one wand that'll be great for just about everything I do. (for the time being)

I have tried to look up places on the internet to find an array of gemstones that might attract me, but I can't seem to find anything that helps me out a whole lot.. :/

So ultimately, these are all questions to find out what I can do to make my wand magick more powerful and effective. I want to be able to cover widespread amounts of magick spells/rituals, while having as much power as I can contain in one wand covering all these subjects.

I believe clear quartz crystal to be very effective, it is an amplifier and can be programed for specific intent, that would be my #1 choice if I had to choose only one.

Can you use more than one?
of course you can, you can do whatever you want here, there is no right or wrong when it comes to what feels right for you, I would recommend putting some serious thought into each stone before adding it to see how it feels for you. I have seen some very nice wands that have 1 gemstone to represent each element and spirit, or, a stone for each chakra.

a wand is a tool, you can have only one that you use for everything or several that are tuned for specific purpose, I myself have several and each has a different feel and purpose, one for healing, another for attraction, etc.

as far a certain words, I don't know about that, I don't use anything specific, I also don't use latin or any other language, I find that the language I understand is the most effective for my work but again, it is a personal choice.

you may also want to look into the energies of the different types of wood that your wand can be made of to further tune your tool

I was gonna ask about the types of wood as well, but forgot to and only remembered just after I posted! haha, not the first time and surely will not be the last.

Also, I was thinking that I would probably use clear quartz and the "one gemstone for each element" idea sounds like its just up my alley! Figuring out how to put them into my wand, now that's another story entirely! lol

Thanks for helping me decide on which gemstones to use, I think I pretty much know what I want to do!!

I like the way those mysterious languages that have been tied to magick feels coming off my tongue, so I think I will [attempt to] learn something along that line.

So now my question would be what type of wood is best for a wand, if I want it to be a very effective and powerful conductor of energy? I want a wood that will make my spells/rituals very powerful/effective... Pretty much, I want the same things as I want with the gemstones.

Also, what gemstones best represents/conducts each of the elements?

And what language would/might be the best for magick, or is that something that I have to choose on my own?

Although I don't use a wand, when I first started out I did have one. I made mine out of wood from an apple tree. I deffinatly agree with the clear quartz crystal being the best to use for it. But the best thing about quartz is there are so many different kinds. So maybe you could stick to the quartz and research the different types of quartz and use whatever type covers whatever you are looking for. The reason why I say stick to quartz is that it is easy to clease and it is a powerful stone.
