I light this blue healing candle for myself. I have been diagnosed with slight scoliosis a long time ago. Warned not to have to many children, I had three beautiful boys. I've caused myself more problems over the years and now recently with limited movement and horrific pain at times. I broke down and went to our local clinic doctor. I have no insurance and my husband is laid off. That equals no money. I qualified for hospital help for the clinic visits. I went, had xrays done, he gave me some list of physical exercises to do, gave me a pain killer, muscle relaxer, nerve pain pill, and steriods. Said it was a pinched nerve but I would need an MRI to make sure and to see what our next step was. HELLO.... no insurance. Not knowing what to do or where to turn I had it done. $2200 later I found myself in the doc's office again.
The results... 3 herniated disks and the worst one pinching my sciatic nerve. His recommendation: steriod injections ( that are $2000) a piece, I need a set of three he said. Then if it doesn't work my only option is surgery. I set out to find something else!
Acupuncture it seems has a more possitive resonse to what I read than the spinal injections and surgery! I found one I can trust, my appointment is tomarrow morning at 10:30am CST. I'm nervous because I've never had this done before but very excited and happy to have something done at all. I'm very much looking forward to not haveing pain anymore. I believe it will work so much better than the other man made way.
All I ask of my friends is a smile and possitive thought sent my way. If you are able to do more please do so, but I do know how we all get busy with life in general and I do not ask for more than what you can give at the moment.
I thank you all for what help you can lend and any words of advice you may be able to offer.
Blessings to you all!
I will let you know how it goes tomarrow.
