oooohhhh - such pretty alters ~ I so love this thread ~ and I have poked my nose into every link I could find of EliaV's to see ALL her wonderfully magickal items (love those chairs & the t-shirt!) and I've wanted to share a few photos of my alter but I'm kinda lazy when it comes to posting pictures and I don't have a Photobucket account because we have our own website that we pay for each month that I can store our pictures on for loading into here, like my sig pic....I'm always so windy, its the dimentia setting in , Anywho, since I have already used server storage at Magicka Space I'm putting my link to my profile here instead of the actual pics as there are several posted, mixed with home, family, friends and familiars ~ http://magickaspace.ning.com/profile/SilverFirelite.
A friend built the bookcase and I store some items below, the alter on top is the one I use everyday and is in the highest trafficed area of our home (which isn't very big itself) and the sofa table to the south of the alter is where I set up for rituals other than quick morning/evening prayers. Since I am oxygen dependent the set up I use places my hose in the safest place during ritual and my large cast iron cauldron is where I can set tiny fires safely ~ yeah, I have a gas cooking stove too , but in our world you learn to adapt, right? Please enjoy and thank you for letting me share. Oh yeah, this almost seems like dejavu ~ I think I wrote this before but couldn't find it in this thread Love & Lite, Silver Firelite

Blessings, Silver Firelite Ha ha ha!!! My own feed bill for one small (but old) pony is enough thanks! I did move the furnature, I was up till 1am! But I am very pleased with the results. Not only of my alter but of the way my room looks in all now! I will post the pics of my alter (which is unfinished) this is on the mantlepiece of my fireplace. It is going to be where I put items used when elebrating the esbats or any spell work that I may do in the future. At the moment it is set up for Imbolc. I did a little ritual with the pentacle, wrapping green thread round it to represent bride's mantle. The purple candle is my goddess representation, next to that is my chalice (which I just bought a couple days ago.) Then I have one of my pony's shoes, as Bride is the fire of the forge, infront of that is a special candle holder that i got from a work collegue. My candle that I lit for Bride is burning in it. The three crystals are the only ones I have, then a black single stem vase, an empty tealight holder, which will hold salt eventually, the snowdrops I bought to honour bride and to visually see the coming spring and finally a very old clay whiskey bottle that my dad found (along with hundreds of others) in the wall of a building he was looking at for his work. I have that there as I love it! I love the colour and feel and look of it, I love that it is so old, it has history about it! then this is the grate of my fire place. I have my fire and water candle and I have old bottles ready for when I get earth and air candles, at the moment I have very special rocks that I found a couple of years ago when I was on holiday to represent earth and a feather to represent air. In the centre is my oil burner (which was a gift years ago, but I have never used it) in the grate itself I have white tealights as you can never have enough candles in my opinion! lol! so thats it, so far! I havent done anything with my alter yet. As in ritual, spell, celebration or prayer to goddess. But I'm on the third lesson in the wicca revealed course so need to write my own opening of the temple and practice that.

Naughtylittlewitch - How about another horse instead? Hubby would love to see me have one less pasture ornament for him to feed!! -lol- Nice job on your alter ....You will find it will always be a work in process as you constantly add and change things around ~ I love your pentacle and horseshoe and the lovely way you have set up your tealights ~ YAY Blessings, Silver Firelite

silver firelite - I am currently trying to talk myself out of getting a pony for my niece! lol!
thankyou for your kind comments on my alter. I have added a few things, namly a couple of stones that I found. One is a pyramid (it enticed me to read up a little on the witches pyramid) and the other is a flat black stone that fits in the palm of my hand and is very smooth. I like to hold it and turn it over in my hand!
I just glanced at the photo again and I cant believe how much the snow drops have grown in one week!! I must take a picture of them to compare! They look like they are about ready to bloom! Very exciting! I have been lighting a special tealight every night in honour of Bride and will continue to do so until they bloom.

Hey Vicky, your alter is lovely. I really like your tree of life candle holder.
