Hmmm should be interesting. Try balancing with water. To put a simpler balance to it.

The next I will go over is water. This type of person is more likely to go with things as they happen. They tend to be thinkers. More to look over the situation and find a course that appeals to them. They generally are not anger motivated as motivated by the appeal of a challenge. The balancing element is fire to speed up the process.

These are the only elements I use ~ there are 4 ~ Earth ~ Air ~ Fire ~ Water
Earth: Connected to the North, Earth is considered to be a feminine element. The Earth is fertile and associated with the Goddess. The planet itself is a life, and as the Wheel of the Year turns, we can watch all the aspects of life take place in the Earth: birth, life, death, and finally rebirth. The Earth is nurturing, without her we could not live. Air: Air is the element of the East, connected to the soul and the breath of life. If you’re doing a working related to communication, wisdom or the powers of the mind, Air is the element to focus on. Air carries away your troubles, blows it away, and carries positive thoughts to those who are far away. It also connects to the Tarot suit of Swords. (some argue wands)
Fire: Fire is a masculine energy, associated with the South, and connected to strong will and energy. Fire both creates and destroys, and symbolizes the fertility of the God. Fire can heal or harm, and can bring about new life or destroy the old and worn.
Water: Water is a feminine energy and is connected with the aspects of the Goddess. Used for healing, cleansing, and purification, Water is related to the West, and associated with passion and emotion. In Wiccan covens, water is used to consecrate the circle and all the tools within it. As you may expect, water is associated in Tarot the suit of Cup cards.
And this is what I use in my practic. Elia V

Greetings, I have good luck manipulating air and water. Basic stuff like starting a breeze on a hot still day , moveing a storm around and away from my house and calming water when I am in a boat. I do enjoy a good ripping storm now and again and can be found outside dancing with glee while the wind whips up my hair. Oh! and I enjoy a good dense fog , so mysterious.

I have always had a very special kinship with fire.
One of my favourite things to do is dancing with my fire toys. I feel so free and at ease when I am dancing with fire, a sense of calm like no other I have ever had.
I share many aspects of fire's personality both good and bad. I have the warmth and passion but on the flip side I have a temper on me like a volcano at times.
That is not to say I ignore all other elements. I pay my respects to the big 5 but always with a flame inside of me.

glad yal find this helpful. For me fog is the most beautiful. It takes away the sharp edges of building and lends comfort.

For me my element tends to vary. But fire and shadow are the ones most common.

In the sense that most people are talking about the elements here, I feel that shadow is not an element. In all the books I've read (and I've been reading a l-o-n-g time lol)I've never seen shadow expressed as an element.
I understand that fog is watery and vapoury and so it can come under the element of water, though.

Briganta Oh yes, fog is definately water. Weather is a facinating subject involving all the elements including the rain shadow effect, which is to say that rain falls more heavily on the back side of a mountain. ( from the prevailing winds.) Now I have dragged you all off to a completely different subject. Sort of. Sorry!

For me nature is all encompassing as an element. All things natural are and can be elements.

Our will is actually part of the spirit element. It is was makes us humans. it is greatly evolved and and makes it easier but at the same time harder to be who we are.

As a Chaote I do not belive in oppsites or just 4 elements. For a Chaote 'shadow' is and can be an element. Just as Chaos is an element. Another one not usually mentioned is aether which can be described to be similar to the Dao. Shadow is not an element as such in the most popular traditions of wicca or watchtower witchcraft but that doesn't rule it out, it is just not popular.
Other things I have come across. In medieval alchemy there is, air, water, aether, earth, fire, sulphur, mercury and salt. Babaloians included the sea and sky as their elements.
The Japanese have 'void' which I would say is similar to my version of aether but it could easy corespond to shadow.
And finally here is a list of some I have heard other chaos magicans use. pyshic, air, water, light, sound, earth, fire, dark (including shadow). As you see there are 8 and the chaos star also has 8 arrows, which might explain a chaotes use for it. But chaotes do not have set rules, they won't all follow this.
