Merry Meet All!

I do apologise in advance for bringing such a negative topic to such an uplifting, wonderful place. I came across this article today and it makes me feel sick to the back teeth.

I've been into Wicca for nearly 7 years and I follow this path for numerous reasons. It makes sense to me, makes me feel happy content and makes me feel like I'm living life the way it was intended. I'm content with what I know about life/death and the purpose of our existence.

Articles like this just leave a sour taste in my mouth:

Well if your going to quote scripture you should at least get it right!! Rev 21:8 says Magical Arts (among other things) (that most people do) but my point is weren't healers considered Witches, since they had such knowledge that others did not. And what of science today?? Haven't they proven how our universe works, where in the Biblical days they had no explanation?? Didn't Lazareth rise from the dead, was this just a man in a coma, or was Jesus using Magical Arts???

Had to take a look at this article myself. Have to agree though, it's not the first of it's kind that I have unfortunately read. I had a good friend of mine say something one day that truly started my researching process into Wicca and Witchcraft. I was managing a restaurant at the time. There was one specific table that every morning 9 - 12 gentlemen (older) would come in have breakfast, and solve the world's problems. Well on one particular day the conversation went into religion. Max, made a very good point that I had never truly thought of. The bible is written by man, in God's word. It is supposed to be written word for word by what they were told by God. Okay, my problem with this and as Max so eloquently pointed out; man has lied since day one! So how do we know that this is truly what is supposed to be written by God or if it was written in the words of what these people believed? As I have discovered through my learning process with Wicca and Witchcraft, it is a nature and universe based magick, thought, religion, practice, whatever you choose to feel. How can this be altered in any way by man? To me it can't. It's as natural and free as you can get. One great thing about my life is that now, through the studies of Wicca and Witchcraft, it doesn't bother me anymore to hear these people say these things. As long as I believe whole heartedly in what I choose to practice those others do not matter.
Because of my practices and beliefs now, my life is much happier, more fulfilling, content, peaceful, full of joy and love. What can be any better than that! I am not constrained by beliefs that make me feel as if I am better than any other that walks this great earth of ours. I am me! All that I am and learning more each and every day! I celebrate my love, faith, patience, and joy with my Witchcraft everyday and I can honestly say - I never feel alone or desperate enough to condemn any other the way that the majority of so called Christians do.
I am not very eloquent about quoting the Bible, but does it not also say to some extent - "Be kind to others." "Do not judge - for I (God) am the only judge." If this is true, then the people who choose to write these types of articles are sinners themselves, that's the way I see it anyways.
Well I've rambled enough. Can't wait to see more posts about this subject. I wanted to put out there and ask if anyone has watched the new show that CW has on tv? I believe the name of it is "The Secret Circle". If you have what are your thoughts?

Yes, I watched the first episode of 'The Secret Circle" but missed it last week 'cos I couldn't find it, lol. Not sure where it's going but I'll give it a few more episodes. It would be nice to be able to watch a decent 'witchy' show wouldn't it.

I watched the first episode of The Secret Circle" , I'm not impressed yet, the networks are billing it as a "Wiccan" show, not, already the parents don't want the kids to know about witchcraft because somebody died because of the "Craft"
There was also a scene where two of the witches made the rain fall up! Very pretty but duh!
The jury is still out on this one.
The one to watch, Lost Girl, has started up it's second season. awesome.

I have seen the ad for 'secret circle, and I kinda like the look of it...obviously, I dont think alot of it will be at all factual (ie, rain falling up!!) but it might be worth a gander...

I havent got sky at the moment though, so can't watch it LOL xxx

Lost girl is on Showcase channel, that is 41 on my telle. Google it and you might be able to find out when it is on in your neck of the woods.
Lost Girl started out as a graphic novel. She is a Succubus, she kisses someone ( boy or girl, she's not fussy) and sucks the life essence out of them.
This show covers the whole gamit of creatures, sirens, banshee, leprecaun, werewolf, you meet a new species every week and they are either associated with the Dark Fae or the Light Fae . Both sides refer to humans as meat. To be used in some way or another.
Lost Girl is on Sundays at 9:00pm
