MM, As a child I grew up with plenty of them. My grandfathers property is on the high list of activity (or used to be). My brother and I just had a conversation about that property, there was a little yellow house we used to play in. My grandfather had used it to store grain after his mother-in-law died. We used it to play house. It wasn't until later years we found out that the house hadn't been there, it had actually burned down in the 1940's. Still today my brother and I can still describe the house to a tee, and it freaks out the family. This same house, housed three children in it (ghosts), two children from the 1800's and my dad's little brother, whom all three had died in that house. I was never able to talk to my dad's little brother, but was able to talk to the two other children, it was an interesting experience, and I can still feel them, although I have kind of turned off the talk. There are many more experiences with ghosts, no poltergeists, just playful spirits, if anyone is interested. Blessed day, Cinderella

Wow, that would have to freak them out!! I have heard that kids are more open to Spirits, and can see them when grownups cant. Do you still see Ghosts? I think that would be a really cool experience, but at the same time, it might scare the wits out of me. I really like your story, thanks for sharing it.  Love & Light Tess

Let me get this right - you're saying that the house you and your brother used to play in wasn' there any more? That's fascinating, really interesting.

Thanks Tess, Yes I still see spirits, not as often any more, but still can feel them, I try not to acknowledge that fact, but it is there. My husband and I have guests quite a lot, and not just human souls but the souls of miscellaneous animals also. Should see the cat when there is an animal spirit around the house.

MM Briganta, Yes that is right, the house that my brother and I played in as children, never existed when we were children. It had burned to the ground before we were born. The really strange part of this is also, the big house that my grandparents lived in is a shape shifter. Every one of my family members remembers the house as something different than I can remember it. Even my husband describes the house differently than I do.... He has seen stuff on the property that hasn't been there for years before..... This house also had something evil,,, really evil residing in the root cellar.. I could feel the evil energy whenever I passed the door. Could never make myself go down there, even though others went down, I knew that it was bad.....

Wow, this is one incredible story, I don't think I ever heard anything like that before.. Thank you for sharing, it's fascinating! 
I'm trying to keep open to the idea of Spirits within the house but I don't know how much I could take before I would get freaked out.
My oldest daughter claimed the house we lived in before was occupied and I always believed her. Her bedroom, which she picked herself, was in the basement. It was a nice suite with enclosed hallway and big full bathroom. She loved it until one day she started telling me that she thought the basement was haunted.. she was hearing and seeing things. She told me one night she saw a silhouette of a man dressed in farmer clothes standing in a doorway. Last six months before we moved out she wouldn't sleep downstairs anymore.
When we moved into our new house it all stopped. I asked her and she told me she didn't see or hear anything. She moved out on her own couple of years ago.
Recently I started to believe that there might be something here... It's more than just house cracking noises during the wind. I've heard loud noises sometimes for no apparent reasons and my cat is no where around. Sometimes I hear a sound like someone would throw good size pebble at the wall. It's loud and it really makes you stop and think.
Another time I was lying in the bed and watching TV and all of a sudden a floor in my bedroom began cracking like someone was walking on it... right around the door way area. Again, it wasn't my cat.. he was lying on my bed.
My cat makes me wonder as well... Sometimes he'll start conversing with something between the wall and the ceiling... He'll get very excited and start looking up and talking to it and climb to it if he can.... but I look and there is nothing there. Sometimes we both hear a loud sound and he'll get all alerted and goes to check it out and I follow but again.. there is nothing there..
My daughter is visiting from time to time.. I've asked her recently if she heard anything strange while she stays here.. She said: Funny you ask Mom, I have....

Yours is a good one, funny that you speak of your cat, ours does the same thing. We can tell when someone is here, because she will sit like she is speaking to them also, and other times her tail and body will puff out, she hisses and runs the other direction, when this happens we know it is someone bad, or an animal she distrusts.

If I did, is it possible to take my brother with... We had cousins who played there with us, and none of them even remember those times... Going back in time isn't so far fetched... I freaked my mother out all the time talking about houses and places that I have never been in, or shouldn't have remembered because I was just a baby when I was there..Mom always told me not to talk about it, and never mention it to dad.. Wonder why??

Possibly because he was religious maybe and/or some people just find that kind of thing too hard to believe and think something evil might be happening.

Briganta - In the past it made me freak out... Lately though when I'm hearing weird noises I'm more receptive to them. If I can't find any other possible explanation, I accept that this is probably a Spirit. Couple of times I even greeted it, but that's as far as I ever went.. I have no idea who it might be..

Maybe you'll get more comfortable in time and if the spirit appears again maybe try to find out who it is.
