I have been studying Runes for quite a time now. And continue to do so.
I wanted something that was little more personal and private. For the nights are late and it's total silence all around. So I purchased a Pendulem about 2 weeks ago. Lastnight I tried it. I will have to work with it.
I really felt the energy as I held it above my left palm.
This is an expierience that was well worth getting a Pendulem. I hope to have it work for me in the near future. I'm no rush. Just thought I would share. This is the only Divination tool I have not made myself. Guess it was meant to be.

Wht is your pendulum made of? I have one of tiger's eye, and I love it. My problem is I can make it go whichever way I tell it to, so I don't tend to use it much. I've talked to some people locally, and they say they can do this also, not uncommon, but have yet to be able to use it without influencing the outcome.

I have a freind who finally built a little stand to hang her pendulum from to work with it so that her own undetectable muscle movements would not affect the pendulum. Have you thought of trying something like this Tallwoman??

You're just that good
What about asking questions you don't know the answer to, or you don't have an yes/no preference with?

THat's what I stick with. And using it for others. You should try it, most people have the ability to kinetically move things. And a pendulum is usually small, and you usually have a connection with it.

Tigers Eye crystal Are one of my favourite crystals. I have the Red Blue and the regular Tigereye.
Thanks for the help. I'll be sure to keep working with the pendulem. The Carnelian Pendulem is very beautiful.

I have a couple of pendulums, but my first one was a pear drop amethyst one. I fondly call it "Pendy" I have bonded to it really well. At the moment, Pendy circles for yes and backwards and forwards for no.
I am also afraid of making the pendulum "say I want like to hear" so to speak, I try to keep my mind blank after asking a question to avoid influencing it.
I must admit since I started using it, my hands have been getting alot more sensitive to engery, I feel alot more tingling in my fingers, which I use in turn when picking a daily tarot, its like the pendulum has taught me how to listen to energies and my instincts if that makes sense.

When i first started i kept it in my pocket so it would be close to me. Then started using it after i felt it had absorbed my energy.
I can also make it move in any direction just be saying yes or no or even by just thinking it, i think that's when you know you have mastered it.
I have a very steady hand and don't move a muscle and can get the answers because i keep repeating the question and i don't let yes or no or i don't know or i don't want to answer come into my mind when im useing it.

He he he, I also seem to tend to make the pendulum say what I want!!! I am very fond of them anyways. I once was on a sales appointment where the customer held it over each item on the the price sheet to determine what to purchase. That was interesting. It wouldn't work for me because I'm quite sure that it would say yes to all the things I want....

I watched a video of a woman who had a stand for hers and was spelling out words with hers! It was pretty cool to see.
I made mine with a pyrite weight, amber and garnet beads on what my supplier called 'german gold' wire. The first time I used it was pretty awesome and I still love the way it 'jiggles' just before it starts to swing.
