I was wondering if anyone could help me learn how to contact my spirit guides.Anything would help thank you.

Meditation is the best way. I use a guided meditation I got from amazon but you can find them all over the net, in books, mp3s. There is one on the Shamanism board as well.

When I had a psychic reading done, he said the same as ThatOneGirl. Just sit quietly and open yourself to the idea. Over and over again. With an open mind, you will find them.

Great advice, I would say; the only thing I could add is that I met one of my guides in the dream state (actually on an astral travel).

Just confirming the above as well. You can get into a meditative state, see yourself in a meadow, walk for a while until you find a bench (state your intent prior to meditation that you are here to connect with your spirit guide that has your highest and best in mind) and sit on the bench, call to the spirit guide see the guide come closer, walking closer etc and finally you see your guide, introduce yourself, talk and get to know the guide then when you are ready come out of the meditation.
Prior to Sleep you can state the intent for you to meet and work with your spirit guide in the dreamscape.
